About my batch: KU math '11

We all know that Mathematics is the mother of science. And it’s our best luck to be a child of Mathematics. However, we are 44 in total. Among us 14 are girls and rests are boys. We can be different from one another but one thing is common to us that we are unique in the boundaries of strong friendship. We have already passed our whole campus life but the days we have passed from the 1st step in KU campus to present, are still present in our memory and always tickling our mind. It always seems that the day of orientation class was held only a few days ago. But if we take a short glance through the calendar, the actual picture can be revealed. It’s about 6 years we are together passing our times in our classrooms 1101 & 1102. It is quite impossible to describe the feelings within a short time. Some keywords like ‘‘Orientation, Reception, Re-union, Champions trophy in football, Pohela Boishakh-1420, one day & seven days Tour always try to knock our minds. We are really proud to have singers, dancers, debaters, stage performers, players and especially some organizing mentality guys. We, the mathematicians, know how to introduce the 'summation & integration' in our practical life and the way to make a ‘heart to heart’ relationship among us. We have almost crossed ‘half the battle’ of our life. Now the journey begins for the next part. As a mathematician, we have the courage to fight for the ‘Salt of life’. All of us have to pay the debt of nature with the passage of time but the memories we left behind, will twinkle in every occasions. At last only one word to say: ‘‘We are mathematicians & we are the best.’’

  জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীরাও আমাদের সম্পদ, তারা ফেলনা বা অযোগ্য নয় আমার এই লেখাটি শুধুমাত্র জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের স্নাতক পর্যায়ের শিক্ষার্থীদের উদ্দেশ্য করে লেখা। আমি এখানে যা লিখছি, তার সবকিছুই আমাদের দেশের পাব্লিক ও প্রাইভেট বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীদের জানা। কিন্তু, আমার মতে, জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীরা আমাদের সমাজে সবচেয়ে বেশি অবহেলিত, তারা পায় না কোনো ক্যারিয়ার নিয়ে ভালো দিকনির্দেশনা, না পায় ভালো কোনো ফ্যাসিলিটি। যদিও তাদের প্রায় সবাই প্রথম বর্ষের শুরু থেকেই বিসিএস-এর প্রিপারেশন নেওয়া শুরু করে, তবে আমার এই লেখাটি তাদের বিসিএস প্রিপারেশন নিয়ে না। আমি লিখছি যাতে তাদের কারো মধ্যে কখনো যদি ভবিষ্যতে গবেষক হয়ে নিজেকে দেখার স্বপ্ন বা ইচ্ছা থেকে থাকে, কিন্তু শুধুমাত্র জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে পড়ার কারণে সেই স্বপ্ন অধরাই থেকে যাচ্ছে, তাহলে সেক্ষেত্রে এই লেখাটি তাদের আন্ডারগ্রাজুয়েট প্রথম বর্ষ থেকে কিছুটা আইডিয়া পেতে সাহায্য করবে। একজন জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থী হয়তো দেশের কোনো পাব্লিক বা প্রাইভেট বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে পড়ার সুযোগ পায়নি। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অ্যাডমিশন টেস্টে কোনো ...

Importance of Numerical Analysis Here I am going to write about something I love, and that is ‘Numerical Analysis’. It is a branch of applied mathematics that uses various methods (algorithms) to find approximate solutions of complex mathematical problems. In modern science and engineering- there are many problems where the equations are so complex that analytical or exact solutions are not possible. Truly speaking, such real-world problems can rarely be expressed in completely perfect mathematical formulas. When such situation occurs, or when an analytical solution is very difficult to obtain, numerical analysis is then the only hope.
